The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the supreme body of the UNFCCC, it is made up of the states that have signed up to the convention - the vast majority of countries in the world.
The COP's role is to promote and review the implementation of the Convention. The COP keeps the whole process on track and oversees the resources provided by developed countries for helping developing countries on the way to sustainable development.
