Notes:
A fortnight ago some of you probably saw John Barratt's talk on ecological footprints. It gave a pretty bleak assessment of how we in the west currently use resources and produce greenhouse gas. Someone made the point at the end of his talk that with the best of intentions, to get people to change habits and reduce GHG emissions comes down to money.
The divergence in GHG associated costs is if anything, even more striking. By the time they reach their thirties Mr Prescott is spending more than double that of Mr Bellamy on GHG related emissions. This small spike is the cost of nappies, which is actually very similar for the two types considered.
